IJK, including TSF (The Solution Factory), now has about 250 employees and is part of Driessen Groep. Since 2017, then still as a department of Driessen HRM, they are located in their own building on the Brainport Human Campus. On April 1, 2018, they officially continued as a company under the name IJK.
Franneke, manager of staff/HRM at IJK, says: "At IJK, we help our clients set up their processes smarter, simpler and faster. We do this by using knowledge, smart software and our people. This gives clients back their time to focus on what really adds value for them. For example, providing good education or healthcare. Our motto is actually very simple: we want to give people time back so that they can focus on what really matters and what they enjoy doing most." That focus on working smart and contributing meaningfully is also clearly reflected in their place on our campus.
A campus where everything comes together
"Everything is well organized here," says Franneke. "The Brainport Human Campus is a place where everything comes together. You know how to find each other easily and help each other wherever possible. That applies not only to the companies within Driessen Groep, but also to other residents of the campus."
For example, IJK makes grateful use of the facilities on campus. "We regularly use the theater for meetings and colleagues like to walk to coffee bar Jan&Koek; to get some fresh air and drink good coffee. That really adds to the job satisfaction. People from the campus team are also incredibly involved; whatever you ask, nothing is too much. They always think along with you. This open attitude contributes to the job satisfaction of our employees as well as to the community that makes the campus unique."
Focus on people, work and society
The campus' focus on people, work and society fits seamlessly with IJK's vision. "Because the companies within Driessen Groep are all located here, we find each other easily. We complement each other precisely because each has its own perspective on people and work. You can tell that Driessen Groep is a family business by the way people treat each other: involved, helpful and genuinely interested. You can taste that everywhere on campus."
This people-oriented vision is not limited to its own organization. AIJK is also actively seeking to connect on a social level. "We find it important to contribute to the development of young people," Franneke explains. "For example, with the Learning Lab, we have had students contribute ideas on how to make our employer brand attractive to Generation Z. Their fresh perspective really helps us move forward."
Collaborations on campus
The location on campus at IJK ensures short lines of communication and valuable meetings. Franneke: "As an HR team, we have a lot of contact with our HR colleagues from Driessen Groep, but also with organizations like Bloeij, for example when picking up more complex absence cases. Our recruiters regularly work together with those of Driessen, and through Reijn we get temporary HR support during maternity leave. That feels familiar and pleasant."
In addition, new contacts arise spontaneously because of the proximity to other companies. "I came across Arjan Elbers' name from Stichting Guruz and knew he was here on campus," Franneke says. "Then it's much easier to just make contact. There has also been contact with Finstream, simply because they are here on campus. Meetings like that often lead to valuable conversations.
In addition, through the campus, IJK offered someone from Sterk aan het Werk, an initiative of the Driessen Foundation, a place on the team. A great example of how cooperation here can also be socially significant. And that is exactly what makes the campus so unique: connection comes naturally here."
An inspiring place to keep growing
For IJK, the Brainport Human Campus is more than just a workplace. "It is an inspiring environment where working together, sharing knowledge and strengthening each other are central," Franneke concludes. "Here we are literally and figuratively surrounded by organizations that, like us, believe in the power of people and in smart, meaningful work. That makes us at IJK not only grow as an organization, but also as a community."
This makes IJK a great example of how the Brainport Human Campus ecosystem works: companies that reinforce each other and work together to create people-centered and future-proof work.
